Music is Morrell’s passion

He appears to be just another “Average Joe.” Billy Morrell focuses hard in school and has a friendly disposition. But there’s something about him that strikes some to be a hidden talent. He plays in a band, multiple bands actually.

He is musically inclined and is skilled in a multitude of instruments: piano, drums, bass, ukulele, and his favorite, guitar. His vocals also serve as an instrument.

When he was only eight-years-old, Morrell’s inspiration was none other than his father. “As a kid, watching him play was really cool. He wasn’t the best, but the way he held onto his tone was what caught my attention,” says Morrell.

When offered the opportunity, he will play music as often as possible, but he doesn’t consider the action of playing music to be called “practice.” He thinks of it to be more of a lifestyle.

His music is a predominant part of his day, even more so than school. “I don’t exactly know how much I play a day, but it’s more than I do anything else,” says Morrell.

However, Morrell’s taste in music is just as unique as he is. He practices the music of hardcore, jazz, skramz, post-rock, and Midwestern emo.

Morrell plays with anyone who has similar taste in music. In fact, he was part of a band called Davy Crockett. His other and more recent bands are Pit of Despair and I Could Die Tomorrow.

He performs in various shows and advertise on social networking systems. His next performance date is unknown; however, he will announce it on Facebook once he finds out.
