America’s pastime is one of the most well-known sports in this nation. Everyone would like to go pro if he or she had the chance. There are a lot of ways to try and succeed is this sport, but it will not be easy. Coaches want to see you give it all you have.

They don’t want you holding back. You have to lay it all on the line. This shows that you’re dedicated, and you have to be if you want to succeed. You have to go to every baseball game, practice, scrimmage, and camps. Baseball comes before everything except your education. This is the first thing to know if you want to play baseball far in the future. You have lay it all on the line and be dedicated. Also, coaches look for an all around great player.

You have to have a lot of free time to practice. You might say to yourself, “I already go to practice. I don’t need to anything else,” but you would be lying to yourself. You have to work at it to be good. Some player’s skills come naturally, but there are always things that you can improve. Professional baseball players practice nonstop, making sure they get better every day. Being a professional isn’t always that easy. You have to be dedicated and set goals for yourself. If you set goals and keep thinking about those goals, you will achieve them.

When baseball season comes around, I am the happiest kid on this planet. Yeah, I have my moments when I get mad, but once I step on that field, I forget all about my problems. I could play baseball all day and night. This is what you have to feel when you play if you ever want to become a professional. You’re not going to go anywhere if you don’t feel like this. Also a way to succeed is listening to the people around you. I’m not just saying listen to your coach. Listen to your friends and parents, too. I listen to my dad, and he helps me out a lot with baseball. He tells me what I have to improve on and what he thinks I’m doing wrong. I listen and understand what he is saying and apply that to my game.

People will often try to help you, and a lot of them know what they are talking about. These are some of the ways that can help you be successful.  This advice doesn’t just go for baseball; it can go with any sport. Just remember if you really want this, you have to show people around you that you deserve it. It’s not going to be easy, but will be worth it.
